How to Upgrade to Windows 10
The first thing to do before upgrading to any version is to check if your device or PC is capable of running the version 10 Operating System. Also, I recommend running 64-bit RAM options if it is supported by your computer hardware.
Step 1: Navigate to the Microsoft Software Download webpage
Step 2: Scroll down a little and under the caption ‘Create Windows 10 Installation media’ you’ll see a button tagged Download Tool Now – click on it and Run the installation on your computer.
Step 3: As you run the command on your computer. A Windows 10 setup page will pop out with terms of services and privacy options – go through it and click on Accept to continue.
Step 4: On the new page, you’ll be asked what you want to do, select ‘Upgrade This PC’ Now and hit the Next tab at the bottom of the page to continue.
Step 5: At this point, the Windows 10 OS will be downloaded automatically to your PC. Though this will take some time, it does not affect the function of your computer while it’s downloading.
Step 6: After upgrading, follow through any other prompts that may appear based on the specification of your computer.
Step 7: Now at the completion of all upgrade, a Windows 10 license key will be saved to your computer and you can access it thus;
- Go to Settings.
- Scroll to Updates & Security.
- Then select Activation.
Lastly, it is worthy to note that this setup will enable you to upgrade your computer for free. However, if your computer is not responding to the setup then you’ll have to purchase Windows 10 from Microsoft Website at a cost price of about $139.
