With the addition of a new in-app gaming service to its platform, Snapchat is giving you no excuse to delete your account. Though the automatic deletion policy still holds, if you’re concerned with security or privacy issues, you can deactivate your Snapchat account against outright deletion. I have prepared this guide to help you through the process.
One thing users find embarrassing on Snapchat is seeing popular snaps disappear within few seconds, but the social media platform is built in such a way that it is entertaining and everyone on the platform does not get bored reviewing old sticky videos or photos. Uninstalling the app from your phone will not deactivate or delete your Snapchat account. At the moment, if you must have your account permanently deleted from the platform then you have to login with a web browser, the auto-deletion policy is waiting for you there.
